Inspection Lamps
Inspection lamps are designed to be used in dark settings where a bright and powerful light is needed, such as in a garage workshop. These lights allow the user to illuminate what they are working on to help them complete the task at hand.
Inspection lamps have some important key features. First, they are created with LEDs. This means they have an efficient and low power source or light that can be used. Second, they are typically cordless. This allows you to get light in the trickiest of places, such as inside a car engine. Being able to direct the light in this way will help with your work.
Third, some come equipped with displays letting you know the battery state and charge level. This means you will know when to charge and when you can keep working, without worrying when the power will run out. Finally, they come equipped with hooks and magnets. These allow you to attach the lamp to parts of the car, freeing up both hands to carry out work.
Inspection lamps are typically used for carrying out work on car repair and maintenance. However, they can be used for a few other tasks. First, they can be used to help brighten up hard to reach places of construction work. This would be particularly helpful on a site where this is minimal power and not enough access to daylight.
Second, they can be used to help with DIY projects at home, particularly in dark spaces such as under floorboards or in the attic. Finally, they can be a valuable tool to travel with in the car in case of a break down. An inspection lamp will provide you with a reliable source to light that can be attached to the car whilst you replace a tyre or check for engine problems.
Benefits of Inspection Lamps
There are 4 main benefits to using an inspection lamp as opposed to a generic light or torch. First, you do not have to worry about hot spots. When using other types of lights, after some use, they will begin to heat up and cause hot spots. This can have a detrimental effect on the work you are completing, particularly if it is sensitive.
Second, as these are typically equipped with LEDs, they are more efficient. This is because the LEDs are more reliable than traditional lights and less likely to flash or flicker when in use. Third, LEDs are more cost effective. As they consume less energy than standard bulbs, they will be cheaper to run. In addition, as they have a longer lifespan, they are less likely to need maintenance, which in turn helps them to be cheaper to own.
Finally, they have a longer run time. Due to the clever design of the LEDs, they can last for a long period of time without having to be charger or replaced, allowing you to get more work done without having to wait for the lamp to be ready for use again.
